Hey guys, I'm replacing my PSU with an EVGA Supernova 650w G2 80+. I notice this PSU comes with the cables detached. My question is, when installing, can I avoid plugging in and set aside the cables I will not be using such as an extra SATA power cable? I figure it will be easier for cable management, etc.
When and if I ever need the spare cables I could just plug them into the PSU? I'm just not sure if there is a reason why one should NOT leave ports on the PSU unoccupied and if for some reason it is better to plug in all the cables even if they are not being utilized. Does this make sense? Would be much easier to manage all those cables rather than have a few big cables I have to figure out how to tuck away. Thank you.
