Hi all,
So as part of my total system upgrade I've got some new ram and a new board, tried installing some RAM and it was quite reluctant to fit in, is that because the ram/board are brand new and its just like breaking them in ?, i realise as soon as its in its no longer a issue but i was just wondering.

Solution
Installing a RAM stick normally requires a bit of force, not much tho just enough to push it in 'til the end to hear the 'click'.
That's why you should plug them with the mobo layed down, to prevent any excessive pressure.

But if those are working finely, you have nothing to worry about 🙂

You sure its the right ram for your mobo? If its not it wont fit at all. It may require more force than a first time builder thinks. Lift up the tab(s) on the ram slot, make sure your stick is orientated properly, there is a tab in the middle of the slot and a cut out on the stick that the tab fits into, then just push the stick down until the tabs automatically come up and lock the stick in place.
