[SOLVED] installing new windows and a new start(clean wipe)

So okay ,I'm finally gonna go from win7 to win 10 because i have like 10 years of junk accumulated on my PC. I have looked tutorials for installing and got everything but there us one thing i am not sure about. I want to delete everything from my hard drive, from tutorials i got that when i install new win10 and when i am making partitions that when i delete old one and create new ones that is it?? really just like that?
I just want a confirmation. thanks.

You don't even need to "make" new ones.
Just delete all the old, and the install will create what it needs.

Do you have your current Win 7 license documented? If so, this should be a free upgrade.
During the install, enter your existing Win 7 license, and the Win 10 should accept it.
