Installing Old ame

Hello, all! I want to install a couple of old games of mine, Sacred (2004) and Diablo (1996) on my Window 7 machine, but both of them give me an error message saying that they are not intended to for a 64 bit system. I have tried using the compatibility function, but it hasn't worked. Is there anything else I can do other than put the games on a shelf and let them gather dust?

For diablo you need to patch to 1.09. If it has color issues like most people there is a registry edit. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/rainbow-or-washed-out-colors-windows-7

Sacred is a bit more troublesome. You're better off just dual booting xp or you can run it in xp mode. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8002

Sorry to take so long to respond to your reply and to say, 'Thanks!' for your help. I am only quasi-tech savvy -- trying to learn as I go -- and I am a bit confused as to what you mean by dual-booting XP. I would greatly appreciate an explanation of this action, if you wouldn't mind, and instructions on how to do it.
