Okay, I am upgrading a few components in my PC including the mobo and so I am going to reinstall windows, BUT, I will be installing it on a new SSD, my current HDD has games, music, movies etc and I really don't want to loose them so, could I just Install windows on new SSD, turn off PC and install HDD, delete windows on the HDD but keep, All other data on the HDD and use said data?

Solution
Yes. When you install windows on the SSD ONLY have the SSD Installed. Then once installed connect the HDD and make sure in the BIOS that the SSD is still the main drive.

Now the thing is the old drive will almost always have boot info and everything which isn't that bad but its best if you had another drive to copy the stuff you want to keep too, format that drive, then move it back.

Now as far as games. If its steam or origin games its pretty easy. When you reinstall Origin make sure to install it to the other drive in the same folder. It should then pick up your installed games (May have to click on them once and download and it will see all the content is there). For steam same thing then just start the same.

Just don't expect...

Just don't expect programs like Office, Quickbooks, Photoshop, ect to work after still. those you will have to reinstall.
