I am having a heck of a time getting Win10 to install on my SSD using the MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon. When it does attempt to install (and yes, I did adjust the bios to allow Win10/8 installation and Secure Boot is on) it gets super slow then only loads to about 25% before freezing or erroring. I even worked with the tech from MSI and nothing. I think I have a bad board. :/

I had an issue with my SSD Samsung installing on a very nice motherboard recently as well! Didn't know it was the SSD causing the issues. Did the same thing.
I put in a reg HD and it worked.

The chipset on this board will only allow installation of the OS via a sata connected optical drive. Kind sucks, eh?

You hit the nail on the head. The existing SSD in the system was malfunctioning. Replaced it and everything went smooth as silk. First time I've had a SSD do that to a system. I wonder if the previous motherboard kicking the bucket did something to it?

When I googled around a lot of people said their Samsung ssd was having issues. Maybe bios incompatibility. Never seen anything like it before tho. My ssd didn't have any issues before with my current mobo and I had cleaned it for that PC build but when it would try and boot up it just failed to install 10 over and over. But then installed no problem on my other PC. Was yours also a samsung?
