I bought a MSI B250M Bazooka motherboard and the manual said to insert the ram first at DIMMA2. This bugged me and led me to wonder why DIMMA2 and not DIMMA1 first. Shouldnt it be DIMMA1 first so that it can be prioritized? I only have one stick of HyperX 8GB 2133 Ram.

So does this mean when i build my pc I put the Ram in the DIMMA2 slot forever?

Solution
DIMMA2 is the highest priority RAM slot on your MoBo, that's why you should install your single stick of RAM there.
If you would have 2 sticks of RAM then those should be installed into DIMMA2 and DIMMB2, not into DIMMA1 and DIMMB1.

A1, A2, B1 and B2 are just slot names counting from the CPU side. E.g DIMMA1 = Channel A, slot 1. Or DIMMB2 = Channel B, slot 2.
