Installing sapphire r9 290 tri-x oc

i am installing my sapphire r9 290 tri-x oc and the pci-e from my psu (cm v850) have 2 six+ two pin connectors coming from the same plug from the psu (cable plugs in to psu and splits to have 2 six+ two pin connecters for the graphics card. I am wondering if is fine to use the single cable and both connectors or should i use 2 cables and i plug one connector from each. Thx (i am a computer building virgin and have never done this before).

Should have cable with 6+2 pin. Use them together to get your 8 pin.

What I mean is the cable has two full 8 pins composed of 2 6+2 pin connectors. Srry i mad it so confusing

yes, use two of those cables (6+2)....the PSU comes with extra cables foe crossfire.

srry im really confused use tow seperate cables (leaving 1 connector from each in the card and 1 just dangling there? or do you mean populate both plugs with the single cables two 8 pins?

You should have a 8 pin plug and 6 pin plug on the GPU. The 8 pin you combine the 6pin and 2 pin on the same cable to make 8 pin...they plug in side by side. The six pin you just use the 6 pin of another cable and let the 2 pin dangle.
