Hi, Im having a problem trying to install win 7 on a 2nd HHD, this is the 3rd HHD I have tried and all 3 do the same thing.. power the pc on, have the win 7 installation disc in, have boot order set to cd,I get a >> disk boot failure, insert system disk and hit enter.. other than that,it's a blank screen with a blinking cursor in the top left, the pc is a hp,presario, sr1610nx, dual core..32 bit, have also tried mt win 10 & win xp installation disk's.. same with all the HHD's and the installation disc, I have a HHD with win xp in it, the pc boots on that and surf's the internet.. Im stumped..

Are you sure you have a Dual Core? Because I do not see where a SR1610NX came with a dual core cpu, or that your chipset would even support one; there is a Sempron 3400+ 2.0 GHz that was found on the SR1620NX, but it is not a dual core. Next, being more to the point, as mentioned below, the SR1610NX came with only 256mb RAM installed, enough for XP, but not enough for Windows 7+. The good news is it can be updated to 4 GB; 1GB being the minimum. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00472088

If you do get Windows 7 loaded, your going to have to track down some device drivers. This is a good read...
