My computer got infected with some form of malware (pop ups everywhere on desktop) just decided to reformat my computer because i hadnt in a while anyways. Now i have reformatted windows 7 ultimate over windows 7 ultimate before and havent had any issues but i recently reburnt the usb to install windows 7 over windows 8 for a friends computer.
So i plugged my usb in and tried to reformat and got all the way to where i format the drives and shit but it wouldnt let me because i forgot i had burnt differnet files for win 8 to win 7 for my friends computer. I had already formatted the hard drive by the time i realised i couldnt do it.
I get this “0xc000000f – The Boot Selection Failed Because A Required Device Is Inaccessible“, assuming because i formatted the hard drive, when i try to boot the pc.
So i got on another computer and downloaded a window 7 ultimate iso off kickass and burnt it to the usb using rufus (mbr partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI-CSM, FAT32) and then plugged it back into my computer and whenever i boot to it, it just goes to a black screen then back to bios very quick.
My motherboard is asrock z87 extreme 3.
Secure boot is disabled, not sure whether CSM should be disabled or enabled.
Thanks
