Hi,

I am trying to install win10 on a new built. I created a USB bootable copy but the install freezes just after the dots loop. I was wondering. My computer is not connected to internet. Is it the reason? Do we absolutely need to be connected to Internet to install win10?

Thank you

Solution
make sure the new mb has the newest bios file on it. in the bios set the bios to efi and sata ports to achi.
you may have to turn off intel secure boot under boot (crs). make sure you use windows media creation tool some 3 party like rufus damages windows boot iso.
You should not need to be connected to the internet to install Windows 10 onto your PC. I installed Windows 10 on my PC without using my wireless network adapter (or connecting it via Ethernet). Did you format your USB drive? If not, format it now and reinstall Windows 10.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Thank you for your answer. This is a first step.

The problem I have is that nothing seems to occur after the dots loop. Basically, I plug the USB, it is recognised, I have the windows dots loop and then...nothing !! The system just freezes...
