Installing Windows 10 on a Dell XPS 8500, New Hard Drive

I'm running Win 8.1 on a Dell XPS 8500 64 bit. The machine is fine but the c drive is getting long in the tooth. I bought Microsoft Win 10 Home Edition 64 bit USB version and a new 1TB WD HD. My plan is to remove the old HD and install the new HD in load it with Win 10. The Dell has UEFI secure boot ON. I'm wondering if the machine will recognize the bootable USB Win 10 stick when I crank up the machine with the new unformated HD installed. Do I need to make any adjustments to the bios before trying the upgrade? Any advice or suggestions will really be appreciated.
