Installing Windows 10 on a new motherboard/cpu/old hdd

Hello,
I'm planning on getting a cpu and motherboard for myself for Christmas while retaining all the other parts in my current build, in doing so I want to do a fresh install and format of the HDD. So my question is when I'm installing windows 10 ( planning on using the media creation tool on Microsoft's website ) will I need a Product Key or will I be able to skip entering it? And if I would need a key is there anyway around it besides buying another copy of Windows 10?

The answer is Yes you can skip the activation step where in you'll be asked with a product key.
