Hello,

I have some apps I use for work on my current OS disk that's internal on my PC and certain drivers I have installed for video games conflict with the apps for work and so I can't have my games on the same OS disk as my working PC. Can I by chance install another copy of Windows 10 on an external SSD and install the video games and drivers onto that so I have essentially two computers rather than buying a whole new machine? I'm trying to save money and don't have money for another computer.

Solution
Yes you can. I would recommend second internal drive or second partition Though. Externals add a bit of delay that is visible in games. Are you sure you cannot just create another user or isolate environment any other way ? Windows installation pendrive/DVD will guide you,

I actually did make another user when I installed the video game drivers but somehow when I installed the driver my program I used for work crashed even though I was not logged into the user I made when I installed the driver, I know it's not the driver itself because my friend has a dedicated video game PC and the same driver is fine on his machine and I read online the program I use for work does interfere with the driver

You can install "games" on whatever drive you want. Doesn't need an OS on that drive.

Running Windows from an external drive is problematic to actually get running, and if you do, performance sucks.

If this is a desktop, you can dualboot on a different drive.
But if this is a "work PC"...are you supposed to be installing games on it?

It's a work PC as In I own my business. I set the rules. I work from home.

even an external SSD via USB 3?

Yes, even that.
