ran into a problem when trying to install windows on a new pc i just built. When i'm in the bios my keyboard and mice all work 100%. But once i try installing windows it brings me to the setup page where i have to choose language etc and thats were my mouse and keyboard both stop working. I've been searching and can't find a fix for it at all. I've tried all the usb ports and checked the mobo bios and everything is enabled for mice and keyboards. thanks for any suggestions.

*edit, i'm also making sure i'm using usb 2.0 ports.*

Hello phantomleeni

Can you please confirm if you are using a desktop computer or a laptop?

In case of a laptop, you can easily disconnect the USB mouse and keyboard and install Windows 10 normally using the laptop's built-in keypad and touchpad. After the installation, you can connect both the USB input devices and let Windows 10 install their corresponding drivers automatically.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!! :)

Hello again

I am assuming that you are Using a Correctly Prepared USB Stick or DVD to install Windows 10.

This is certainly the issue of the drivers. Can you please try the suggestions given here and here?

If the above suggestions fail, you may want to arrange PS/2 keyboard and mouse and then retry installing Windows 10.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!! :)
