So I have built a PC throughout the past couple weeks and I am just waiting on the graphics card (taking ages due to the apparent shortage). When it eventually comes, how do I go about installing Windows 10 onto my SSD using a bootable USB which I have already formatted with the Windows 10 ISO file? I also have a HDD. I cannot seem to find a legit and simple straight forward guide of how to do it from start to finish. I know it has something to do with going into your BIOS and editing bits here and there, a step-by-step guide would be ideal however.

I have the USB ISO all ready to go, I have that sorted. I want to know how I go about installing it on my clean SSD, not the HDD, when I eventually get round to finishing building everything...

1. with the power off unplug the hard drive data cable.
2. plug in the ssd and the usb stick.
3. in the bios change boot order to the usb stick save and exit.
4. boot from the usb stick the new windows installer will ask if you want 32 or 64 bit os installed and if you want home or pro. if you have home oem code use 64 bit home install.
5. use windows 10 oem key when asked.
6. click on advance install if the ssd is blank click next.
7. reboot and remove usb stick.
8. log into windows with ms account and password.
9. use the mb driver cd to install mb drivers. check online to see if there any newer drivers.
10 let windows 10 update itself chec kthat it registered.

Is there any other options in the bios which need changing, or is it just boot order? Do you have to change the boot order again after windows is installed to the SSD first? And when do you plug the HDD back in?

Thats about it. I would check on bios though, that ahci mode is turned on, instead of IDE mode.

You can plug the HDD back when the installation is done.

Do I need to change the boot order after I'm done with the USB?
