Hi Gang

I bought a NEW SEALED W10 Pro Disc (Full Install) and successfully installed it in a Dell Precision 3620 (with a new HD) .

Can I install use the SAME disc (Full Version) in a different Dell Precision 3620 (with a new HD)?

If I can proceed, could someone kindly provide the Boot Prompt Key (Yes The Bios Is Set To Boot Off Disc)

Thank You!

Assuming what you bought is legit and has a legit product key, yes, but you need to buy another Windows 10...
In other words, the disc is in the optical draw and you need to RESTART the machine BOOTING off the disc.

I apologize I forgot the key prompt to press while machine starts boot sequence (off the disc).

I think it was shift - Alt - D ?

Sorry I forgot

Thank You

Hello again USA

The Genuine Product Key (is right there on a shiny label). It's LEGAL Ligit (as I mentioned I've already installed it once. It was Sealed (before I used it once - W10 Pro Disc (Full Install)

Thank You
No where on there is the license key.
That is different from the Product ID.

DVDs are not locked to a particular license key.
And the license key is the thing you actually pay for. You can create your own DVD or USB for free, direct from Microsoft.

So, where did this come from?
And if I may ask, how much did you pay for it?

Hey USA (They're selling on Ebay = going prices are $35-$50

We've discussed this before - Trust me the disc (as with many others) are legal and sold on Ebay. Unless you can provide other information, perhaps I should follow Terry's advice and BUY ANOTHER SEALED DISC?

As Terry said: 'It might only be legit for one single system though, if you boot with both systems that have the same key MS might lock one or both up".

And I woudn't want that to happen!

THANK You ....

Again...you bought the DVD to install with.
Which is a valid, legit DVD.
Which could be created for free.

It does not appear that you purchased a valid, legit license key.
Unless there is something you're not letting us know.

Nowhere in your images above is the license key depicted. Nor would it be. ...it would be on a separate piece of paper.

If the bios of your system has a volume licence then you don't have to worry about it, it will also install without even asking you for a serial.

Exactly.

And no need for a second DVD purchase.

IF and only if, there is some Volume Licensing going on.
Which the user in control of such would probably know.

Or, if this laptop originally came with Win 10. In which case it would activate itself all by itself.
Again, no DVD purchases needed.

All in all, the NEW license key is probably what I'll need, (thank you). However, I'm sure the first installation went well (no issues) when I entered all the data from the envelope sleeve. The first machine has been running for two years and never asks for an additional license. Could you guys please take a look at this ebay item (its identically the same) as the one purchased previously. EBAY < This disc had the License key. Unless you guys totally disagree, I think I'm going to just buy it and save hassles with the Microsoft License Issue (never did that before).

Thank you to everyone 👍 (you guys are great)!

Did your Dell systems come from the factory with an OS?
Almost certainly, yes they did.

If so, that OS license transfers with the hardware.
A new OS install will activate all by itself.

My above comment of $0 stands.

As USAFRet said above, you don't need this disk....
Use the Media Creation Tool listed here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and install it on a USB
Boot from the USB and just select "I don't have a product key" when prompted. When windows installs it should activate windows automatically and detect the Precision 3620's old software license key

Come on guys, I absolutely appreciate all your help. The situation here is common: There's almost never an install disc included with used Dell Desktops sold on Ebay and only those intelligent/patient sellers will offer to de-activate anything. The most common scenario is that a seller will 'Buy Out' multiple used units from a business, strip em down and sell em on Ebay (that's it). Buyer beware and I've always been successful buying machines in this manner since 1996. I've explained there IS a product and License Key from the sellers I buy discs from. The proper image may have been BLOCKED due to visible License Numbers? HERE again is a sample image of the kind of discs I buy from sellers I trust. Wrapping this up: (from the helpful comments), I have choices: Either buy another Windows 10 Pro product key (or) create my own DVD or USB direct from Microsoft. If this process involves downloading EXE files, I'd rather just buy a NEW product key (or just buy another Disc). Can someone please explain how to buy a Windows 10 Pro product key? And BTW, no I don't have a volume license setting in my Bios. Thanks again!

I would say direct from MS, but they literally do not sell new Win 10 licenses.

But...as said...your Dell systems almost certainly have a Windows license associated with them.
It cam from the Dell factory like that.

A fresh OS install, and it will activate itself.

You could listen to people who have been doing this and studying this for literally decades.
These people are telling you you do not have to buy anything for these Dell systems.

Or, you could listen to the fleabay person who is trying to sell you something.

You can build your own Win 10 USB or DVD, install, direct from Microsoft, for $0.
