Installing windows 10 with rufus

I just did a fresh build for my wife and I am at my wit's end with this right about now. I can not figure out how to get this done. I am installing windows 10 education edition ( provided by my college for free ) on this build

The only thing that is not new is the hard drive. It was from a pre built up machine that I had laying around with Windows 10 home on it. It WAS working before I formatted to install windows 10 education. I got the boot USB ready with Rufus I have it set to install to a GPT partitioned USB for UEFI systems on fat 32 with the default cluster size. I made sure my bios is in UEFI mode and every time I get to the part where I choose which partition to install windows to, it says that it can't be installed to the partition because it is a GPT drive.

I took the hard drive out and hooked it into my other system.

And disk management recognizes the drive I did a full format of the drive there on Windows 10 pro. I checked the properties of the disk the only thing I can do is make it a dynamic disk. It will not let me convert it to MBR so I just dont know what to do here if anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong I would appreciate it so much.

I have not ruled out that there is something wrong with the ISO file of Windows 10 I am trying to install but since it is from the college's website I don't see why it would be a issue.

When it asks where, select Custom
You'll see a list of all existing partitions
Select each, and Delete. Leaving one large space.

Let Windows install to that, creating what it needs.

I will answer my own question after reading through the forums I found a solution. I have been losing my mind for two days I didn't realize that windows usually installs best to a empty unformatted drive. If anyone is trying to install windows 10 make sure that the drive or partition you are installing is NOT formatted in any way and is just free unallocated space. Same with dual boot make sure your partition says unallocated free space otherwise windows will refuse to install onto try drive. This was just a dumbass mistake since I haven't built a system with a used drive before so moderators if you could lock or delete the thread please. Hide my shame.

If you have another machine to hook it up to, plug it into the other computer, launch the OS on that system, and drop to an administrative command prompt.
Type Diskpart and then enter
List Disk, and find the disk you want to install the new windows onto. Take extra care to note of the disk number.
Type Select Disk (disk number) and press enter
Type Clean and press enter.
Exit
Exit
Shutdown, put your drive into the new computer you want to install windows 10 in, and start your process from the beginning. Doing the clean from diskpart will NUKE that drive back to basically factory new.
