Trying to install windows 10 from a usb stick, laptop currently has no operating system at all on it the laptop is a lenovo b590 the problem is im using windows media creation centre and it wont detect my usb stick which is the only one i have and its 8gb.

I downloaded Rufus recommended by somebody so i followed a guide put the correct settings in and copied windows 10 successfully to my usb stick, now i boot the laptop from the usb and windows installer comes up but it had a compatibility error which says; Compatibility report: The computer started using the windows installation media. Remove the installation media and restart your computer so that windows starts normally. Then, insert the installation media and restart the upgrade. (Do not select Icustom [advanced] to perform an upgrade Icustom [advanced] installs a new copy of windows and deletes your programs and settings.)

Need help with where to go after this also is it an option to buy another usb stick which windows media creation tool will detect but i dont want to buy another for it to be undetectable and waste my money.

What options are you selecting when booting off the USB? It sounds like you are choosing upgrade. You need to select the other option. As I recall it is Custom. Then delete all the partitions and perform a clean install.

This will delete all data from the HDD/SSD you install to.
