I have a system I built that I installed Windows ME on and now I would like to Install Windows 2000 Pro...
I wish to delete the ME from the system and only have 2000 Pro as my operating system. I have checked all the compatibility issues and all checks out positive...
I would like to do a fresh install, but don't know how to go about it...
I made a Startup disk from the Settings in ME, but don't know if this is correct...

Any help on this issue would be appreciated...

Boot to a DOS prompt (using a boot disk or by any other means) and then format your primary drive. Usually "format c:" will do this. Then create a boot disk set for Win2K by using the files provided on the CD. I think it's in the folder "bootdisk" or something similar. After creating the 4-disk set, insert disk 1 and follow the instructions.

Easier way: just boot from the W2K Cd rom, when asked about wich partition to use, delete everyone existing and re-create NTFS partitions at will. Go through the rest of the installation process and... you have a brand new W2K system
