Hey I didn't do my research well before I built My pc so I didn't bother buying a new hdd or ram sticks thinking windows 7 would still work with all the new parts (silly me).

So anyway, here's my problem.

I have my old builds ram sticks and hdd from an old build in with the new parts and they haven't been cleared of their memory , so I bought windows 7 oem on the cd, when it arrives how do I clear everything before install? And will it work? The hdd is already running windows 7 so I'm not upgrading, just installing windows 7 again with a new oem so that it can work with the new parts (Already tried running it and it doesn't work blue screen with error saying parts were changed)

please help me out!

No it doesn't matter, you be booting off the disc/USB, not the OS installed on the drive anyway.
During your window 7 installation, you will get to the screen to choose where you install the OS. From there you can delete any old data/partitions from there.
You don't need a new HDD or ram stick if you rebuilding a pc. These can be reused as long it is not faulty.

I would just note that when you start the Windows 7 reinstall and opt to format the drive, any data, games, installed programs will all be lost. You will need to re-install all those applications. If you haven't made a backup yet and if you can rebuild your old system, now would be a good time to do so. The part that always got me was forgetting to back up my browser favorites and old e-mails.
