I have Windows 7 Pro installed on my pc.
I want to install windows on a new SSD and then use both hard drives with dual booting.
Can I do that with the same windows key?

Also, I've read some guides saying that it is still possible to upgrade to Windows 10 if you have a windows 7 key. Is that true and would it be possible to install W10 on the SSD using the W7 license key while still having W7 installed on the old hard drive?

Thanks

1. Yes, you can do a reinstall on a new drive, in that same system, with your existing Win 7 license.

2. Yes, it seems to still be possible to upgrade to Win 10 with an existing, valid Win 7.

3. One or the other, not both. If you upgrade that Win 7 license to Win 10, you don't get to continue...
