installing windows 7 with usb

I pretty sure the disk you get with your purchase of windows 7 is basically a .iso file that you can use to burn your OS to a boot drive. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I rip that .iso file off that disk and use a disk imager to burn that and make a boot drive out of a usb stick. Then just make sure that in the BIOS that, the usb stick is the boot drive, let windows boot put in the product key and I'm good?
