Hi guys,

I bought Windows 8.1 OEM 64bit but I don't have an optical drive so I can't use the disc. How do I install it without the disc? By my understanding I can use a USB drive.

Thanks in advance for the help

Microsoft also provides a place where you can create the installation media for Windows on a flash drive from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
Basically what you do is download the Windows files onto a USB drive then install those files to the new PC. Then, when you are asked to put the CD key in, input the key you were provided on the package or box that your disk version of Windows came in.

Hope this helps!

U can use any of the softwares mentioned above or use power iso or Novicorp win to flash. Please note that when you attach the usb flash drive to the computer you want to install windows, you have to open bios settings or boot device manager and set the current boot device to USB flash drive (Name of your flash drive)
