installing windows 8.1 on new pc: Partitions?

I'm in the process of installing Windows 8.1 on a new computer that I just built and I recall watching a vid where someone said to create a new partition. Well, when I did, it created like 4 diff partitions. I don't know if this is normal and/or which one to choose to install the operating system on. Can someone please help, as I'm trying to get this done right now. Greatly appreciate it.

The partitions that it created are: recovery, system, MSR(reserved), and primary. I realize now that I would have to install the operating system on the primary, but I'm still not sure if it was supposed to create all of those.
