Installing Windows 8.1 Pro On New Computer w/ USB

I'm going to start building a gaming PC in the next week and have a question about the OS installation. I have a Windows 8.1 Pro Key and found on this website, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media, that I can create the installation media for Windows 8.1 Pro and upload it to a USB drive. Will this work if I use this installation media on the first boot up? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm new to this.

Yes. I haven't done it for Win8, but I have many times for Win7.
