So I reset my computer and I have a windows 7 disk so I just grabbed that. But I only have 1 hard drive plugged in. When I try and install it to the drive it says I have the wrong format. So I reformatted it in windows and it still wouldnt work. I tried deleting it and starting new and still nothing

You need to clarify a number of things. First, describe your computer; make and model, or motherboard, CPU, graphics board, etc.

Next, define what you mean by resetting your computer . What condition was your computer before you decided to "reset" your computer (ie Windows 7 installed, blank and formatted, etc)Further, how is your hdd partitioned, mbr or gpt; what format was been used. When you said you tried deleting "it", what is "it"? When restoring or installing Windows 7, you should chose a custom install and when asked if you want to delete and format your hard drive; you want to choose, yes.. https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-clean-install-windows-7-2624917
