Hey, I just got my new computer and installed windows. Then I installed my essential programs (~250Gb). Then I noticed, I installed my windows to my HDD instead of SSD, which wasnt supposed to be that way. I wanted my windows to my SSD and HDD as storage.
So now, I have been searching and thinking a solution to install or migrate ONLY windows to my ssd, without formatting, paying money, or deleting files (most migrating programs will move all files, not only windows).
Not yet I have found FREE program that does this.
Does this work?
1. Install windows to SSD
2. Change BIOS so you computer boots from SSD
3. Programs in my HDD will work and my windows is in my SSD.
Only thing at this is in this method, that I don't know will my programs work from my HDD and can I delete windows from it safely.
If this doesnt work, do I have to just delete most of my programs and migrate HDD to my SSD and reinstall all programs?
Other information:
HDD: Seagate 1TB Barracuda, 3.5", Sata3, 7200rpm, 64MB
SSD: Kingston 120GB SSDNow V300, 2.5", SATA III - Stand Alone
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional 64-Bit
