Installing Windows without optical drive

I have recently built a PC and I do not have a n optical drive to use to download windows. Is there something else I can do?

Yes, put windows on a USB flash drive.

Microsoft provides a tool to load the files onto a USB drive. It will get the files for you and do everything, just select the option to create media. You can run the tool on any PC running Windows Vista or newer.

Just google 'How to create a Windows 7 installation USB' or something similar and you will get the idea.

Also make sure you change the boot options in BIOS and set the USB as the first boot device. That way, after BIOS screen, the system will detect the installation USB and give the option of installing Windows.
