[SOLVED] Installing XP Media Center Edition?

Picked up a used Dell to use for retro gaming only to find out the previous owner replaced XP with Windows 7(recovery partition deleted in the process). Thought I'd just pull out my XP professional disk and use the XP sticker to activate, but nope turns out the key on the XP sticker is for Media Center Edition and not XP. I have a XP Media Center Recover disk, but it's a gateway/emachines disk.

I'd say dump that XP Media Center Edition and use XP Professional SP4 instead.

I was mealy looking for ideas on how to get XP MCE installed.

I don't have a key for XP Professional, only for XP MCE, could I possibly use my XP MCE key to activate XP Pro?

No.

An XP Pro install would need an XP Pro license.
AN MCE install would need an MCE license.
