Installing XP on a new laptop preloaded with Win8

I just bought an HP laptop (heres a pic of the specs, if something more is needed ill provide it http://i48.tinypic.com/2mpdh53.png )

I'd like to install XP alongside windows 8 and use it as the primary OS, but I'm a bit in over my head here. I was able to get it running in a VM but that doesnt seem to be ideal. Ive already partitioned a chunk of the disk to put XP on. How can I boot into my installation CD? Thanks in advance for any replies.

win8 has found a way to sustain xp compatibility with my few essential programs, i may not need this after all. If I can't get proper functionality out of my Wacom then I may need to go through with the downgrade after all, Ill update the thread later if this is the case.
