Question Instant Flash greyed out

I was going to update the BIOS on my Mobo, which is still version 1.1 to 2.1. I think I have the USB issues that seem fairly common. Also, daily BSODs. But, when I go into BIOS under Tools, the Instant Flash option is greyed out. I have no idea how to enable Instant Flash. I have downloaded the 2.1 BIOS to a freshly formatted USB stick in FAT32 and extracted the zip file. But I just can't select the Instant Flash option. I can't find anyone else on the web who has had this problem. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I would try a different stick, some larger sticks would not get detected in UEFI. In addition, I would use the USB 2.0 outlets (under the LAN port according to the manual).
