Insufficient cooling for CPU

Hi,

I recent upgraded my system to the i7 4790K.

I am having some overheating issues when rendering. The temperatures go upto 100 C. I am afraid I might burn the processor.

I have some projects going on and I usually put on renders whole day. Now I am afraid I might damage the processor.

I did not get a cooler for the CPU and current using the stock cooler.

I am thinking of getting the Corsair H60 liquid cooler, but I am not sure it will solve my problem. Will it?

It will, water cooling works for me very well, I have stress tested my CPU and I have a i5 4690k and a cooler master siedon 120v which is a fairly low end cooler and it was around 40-45 full load!!

Stock cooling won't cut it time to upgrade.

What case do you have?

The H60 will be fine. If you want to save some money, a decent air cooler like the CM Hyper 212 EVO will do just fine.

I really don't know why Intel bundles these coolers, especially with K variants. They could lower the price at least a dollar if they left it out 'cause, you know...packaging costs <.<

I have the cooler master K380 cabinet, which unfortunately has no space for CM Hyper 212 EVO. I had considered it as an option when i brought the 4790k.

I think I will get the H60. Thank you guys fr your help!
