Insufficient PSU for my PC?

So, I've just got a new PC but it keeps crashing while playing games and I was wondering whether it could be because the PSU is not good enough. My spec is AMD 8350 oc to 4.4 ghz, Gigabyte windforce R9 290, 16GB ram and Asus M5A99X motherboard powered by a Super Flower 550w PSU 80+ Bronze.
