Intalling Windows 7 asking for cd/dvd device drivers

when i start my install process after english it shows cd/dvd drive device not found..I need a straight answer.. I have XP home edition and my cd/dvd is working...I cant find any straight answers...please help...

it does not see the disc correctly in the drive you got error on it ,this win 7 is a legal one with is own key or a copy from somewhere ?
