Integra DTR-30.2 receiver with JVC TH-M45C Speakers

Hi. I have been having a hell of a time trying to get an answer. I have an Integra DTR-30.2 receiver and have inherited my dad's old JVC sound system. The JVC receiver is pretty old (only component) and wanted to connect the speakers to my Integra. Here's my issue. The sub to the JVC is 8 pin din cable and the input for the sub on the Integra is (looks like) a standard digital coaxial. Is there some sort of converter that I can use to connect the sub to the receiver? Been pulling my hair out over this. Any help would be great. Thanks

Since the sub contains all the amps for the JVC system it probably won't turn on without some kind of voltage supplied from the main unit. The Integra can't do that.
If you still have the main unit then connect the sub out of the Integra (mono analog audio) to one channel of the analog audio input on the that. Connect the sub to the main unit, turn it on, and set the volume about half way. Then set up the Integra so it knows you have a sub and set the level. I'm not sure what surround setting on the JVC is best. Start with stereo.
