I will build a low budget pc that is supposed to run games (e.g. CS:GO) at playable framerate (45-60+)
Specifications:
-AMD A8 7650K Quad core 3.3 GHz CPU
-8GB DDR3 RAM 2133 MHz
-Integrated GPU which is R7 7650K 720MHz and will probably get 2gb shared memory

The question is- will this do the job or I will have to think of a discrete GPU?
Also is there any website like GameDebate i can use to check if a certain hardware can run a certain game(and how well).
Thanks in advance!

I would say go to an a-10 chip as you will see a bit better performance in games.

This particular one is on sale for a really good deal right now.

AMD APUs of the higher end will definitely run CS:GO at playable settings and the A-10 can even handle battlefield 4 at Medium settings/720p with a playable framerate.

I would also say pick up a decently beefy aftermarket cooler to overclock and squeeze extra performance out of your chip. Something like the 212 Evo will work. If you wanted to go a bit higher end, go for the H80...

To be a little more specific, csgo will run on a old nvidia 9800 GT at 60 fps with some lowered setting.Even though it is old with 600/900mhz clock and 112 stream processors and such, and is way less underpowered than amd APU integrated. With the faster ram and the shared memory, GPU is not a problem, but I worry about CPU more, but you might have to turn down some settings to be able to play it but not much. A good AMD quad core a series just might work ok

Hahahah what a coincidence ... I am currently playing it on a Galaxy Nvidia 9800 GT 512mb but I get 25 fps D:
probably the reason is not the GPU but the CPU and RAM ... I'm using an old Celeron 440 (single core 2GHz) and 2GB of DDR2 RAM. this computer makes me cry lol

lol the irony
anyways I can bet I am able to run csgo like 15-20fps on a single core amd turion x64 1.8 ghz laptop with radeon 200m graphics, but the cpu is a problem, but the 7650k is a quite capable processor and would run the game fine. people can probably run it on a old comouter. you should be just fine. only one GB ram is needed and DDR2 does not make a big difference. make room for upgradability later if ou want you can add a discrete GPU like a r7 260 and crossfire onboard gpu with discrete, but the onboard will work for now.

I think this upgrade will be just fine

We both know that Celeron is crap.. worse than crap... My windows is barely responsive .I wait 5 seconds before Microsoft edge opens on a CLEAN install of win10 32 bit lol. I chose the 7650k thanks to a guy on another post that helped me choose a low budget pc that will be quite decent. I really love that I have a decent graphics (tho integrated) because for like 3 months I was stuck with Intel GMA 945G... This thing could not run counter strike:source at more than 5 fps! Anyway.. time to save up some money and get that 7650k build 😀 it will cost me about 220 euro which is REALLY cheap for a quad core 8gb pc 😀. DDR2 800MHz to DDR3 2133/2400 MHz is actually a big jump. Also single core to quad..
BTW I checked the Intel Core i5 4460 vs AMD A8 7650K and saw that the AMD chip destroys the i5 in terms of performance and price
the funny thing is that it costs like 3 times less than an i5

the i5 4460 would perform tons greater anyways, because of the better and more efficient intel architecture. you can probably match amd quad cores to an i3-3xxx processor. but in terms of price/performance, AMD chips will always kill intel. if you had the money the 4460 and a r9 380 or gtx 960 would be sufficient for any of todays games on high/ultra

You have a point here though Cpu-world did not compare the iGPUs where the AMD kicks intel's A** (Intel chips are crap, we can both agree) I am mentioning this because it will save me a lot of money because I don't necessarily need to buy a discrete gpu with the AMD chip .I still prefer the amd over intel.
Can you recommend me a cheap power supply for my build -Under 35Euro

XFX TS 430 or EVGA 430 80+ certified
it is a great tier 2 psu and for a cheap price. high quality and great unit, and it might allow one discrete card in the future

Ok so I got board and dug around my garage and found some old celeron rig. I plugged it is and fired it up. launched some stuff, and now it reminded me of how bad it really was.

Anyways also keep in mind that if you stick with your current Windows, only 3 GB of your ram is available for, use, since 32 bit only supports 3 gb. You need a 64 bit Windows to use all of it. I hate how Windows makes you buy a whole new copy to upgrade to 64 bit.

Don't worry about the windows. I am not upgrading my pc, I am building a whole new rig. I'm aware of the limitations of 32 bit windows. I don't think I want to buy a copy tho... I will see if I have one around here and if I don't.... not proud of it but I might get a "copy" from the internet.

No pirated software just to be sure you know, or else the whole tomshardware community will not br able to help you.
We do not condone the talk of pirated software

I am completely aware of that and do not want to be a jerk. Glad to say i found my father's Windows 7 CD and will use it to install win7 and upgrade to win10.
