Models with discrete graphics AMD Radeon HD 6470M with 1GB dedicated DDR3 video memory Microsoft DirectX 11 (Shader Model 5.0) and OpenGL 4.0 capable.
AMD Eyefinity Technology supports up to four independent displays when using an HP Advanced Docking station.

Models with integrated graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000
Microsoft DirectX 10.1 (Shader Model 4.1) and OpenGL 3.0 capable

You can't upgrade a CPU in a notebook? Even if you could, the problem is your motherboard doesn't support the onboard gpu that is on the CPU.

The AMD GPU should be better than what the Intel HD graphics would provide

As above, the AMD gfx is far better than the mobo gfx, which is why HP designed it that way; in addition, using the onboard gfx would also slow down the cpu, as it would have to do both tasks, and do it using system memory and not dedicated video RAM.

I have proven this to myself, by fitting an ancient 1GB AMD 6670 gfx card in my wifes cheap integrated gfx mobo; not only did the card - which is nearly 10 years older than the mobo, perform better than the build in gfx, but the cpu score also improved significantly.

No, don't even bother playing video games on that laptop if the radeon can't handle it, trust me the HD 2000 graphics can't. You can't even use the HD 3000 because you have a 2nd gen Intel GPU. You're going to kill your pc at this rate.
