here is a picture from bios, which in my mind means its not the os but i could be wrong

i built a pc for my mom and in it i put a skylake i3 with a gigabyte h110m micro atx mobo, a seagate 1tb hdd, and a corsair cx 430 psu. Its running windows 8.1 on it, and has run perfectly fine until this morning when she tried to boot it up and the screen would have lines of color almost like televison static running across the screen on and off, finally turning the monitor off. i tried another cable, another monitor, hdmi and vga on the mobo, all leading to the same result. Any other info i need to post let me know, and i greatly appreciate the feedback

Solution
Sounds like busted memory.. Try running the computer with one stick of memory, and if that doesn't fix it the other stick (rotate three times if you have 4 sticks). If one works and the other doesn't, you need to replace the memory
works perfectly fine once i swapped the ram. i completely forgot to list the ram its viper elite ddr4 ram running at 2800 mhz be default, two 4 gig sticks, only one would fit due to i3 low profile cooler so i switched to the other stick. What would cause the ram stick to stop working properly? never attempted an overclock on anything in the system and it hardly ever has any difficult tasks (MS word, internet browsing, etc.) could it be a defective stick? Would the system run fine until now if it were defective from the beginning? sorry for all the questions i just want to prevent any further mishaps and potentially rma this stick if i can
