Integrated graphics interfering?

I've got a new system i built myself just about 6 months now. everything is fine.

However when i start my computer up it works fine, you know... asus screen comes up, some writing comes up, then for a moment there is a blinking cursor much like this one " _ " on the top left (just the underscore - no speech marks) . This is normal for all asus motherboards i know. in most cases that blinking cursor blinks for maybe 5seconds before the windows icon comes up. however my blinking cursor goes from top left to middle, then back to top left, and it keeps doing this for about a minute. (it almost seems like the screen keeps changing the resolution but i can't confirm this.


i am starting to think that the internal graphics is interfering with the graphics card on my computer. eventually it does load to the correct resolution but this is taking my start up time by a good minute - any ideas on how to stop it from doing this?

From what I understand is the only way to use integrated graphics is to enable it in the bios. Check the BIOS and disable it if it's enabled.

I have had a similar problem. it was the mobo in my case not interfering internal graphics.

It would probably be in advanced somewhere (i dont know asus bios just yet) but, just kinda open every tab/slider or whatever till you find it (dont change anything that you dont know what it does) once you find something like onboard graphics, switch it to off.. though, also, look for a boot type setting that says "full boot, fast boot" etc. and change to fast boot.
