You won't be able to do much gaming with either option, so may as well save your money and just use the IGP exactly as I wrote in my first post.

Ultra-low-end GPUs mainly exist to provide video outputs where GPU performance is of no material concern.

For everyday desktop use, just use the IGP. For games, almost any dedicated graphics is better but 2GB of VRAM won't take you far from lowest details that you'd be stuck at on the IGP, so you may be better off sticking with the IGP until you can afford something half-decent with 4GB of VRAM.

Since you can't seem to catch the question being thrown at you, I will offer a few generalizations.

Your iGPU will dedicate some of your RAM to itself. If you are on a system with a "low" amount of RAM this could matter.
Adding the dedicated GPU will free up your system RAM.
Since you can't be more specific there is no way to know how well the GPU could perform (as above), but 2GB of VRAM isn't enough to run any "serious" new title.
The other advantage that you may run across is the output connectors and number of monitors you MIGHT be able to run from the GPU as opposed to direct from the mobo.

I agree, you can definitely play Fortnite on a 2 GB RAM GPU. It just has to be the good 2 GB RAM GPUs.

This incidentally, OP, is why we never describe GPUs generically as a "2 GB GPU" or a "4 GB GPU" because they're not remotely individual categories of performance. It's like asking someone for advice on a "14 gallon vehicle" or a recommendation for a "25 table restaurant."

The size of a fridge does not describe the performance of a fridge but cubic feet does put a hard limit on how much stuff you can put in it just like memory size sets a hard limit on how many assets a game can put in VRAM before it has to crawl over the PCIe bus to fetch textures from system memory. "2GB" is a distinct category insofar that it isn't suitable for modern games, 4GB is on the low side but generally still acceptable if you don't mind lowering details and 6+GB is generally required if you like higher details.

Of course, the GPU itself needs to be powerful enough to actually make use of the extra memory. For the most part, GPU manufacturers don't waste money putting significantly more memory than the GPU can make meaningful use of and for lower-end GPUs, they usually err on cutting costs more than future-proofing so there aren't many models that have vastly more RAM than necessary. Entry-level GPUs have 2GB because just displaying the Windows desktop with GPU-accelerated applications like Chrome or Firefox already uses more than 1GB.
