My GPU (I hope it's just the GPU) is dying. It's under warranty and about to go back to Gigabyte, so I took it out, and plugged the HDMI cable into the HDMI output on the motherboard (MSI H81M-E34)
However, the only resolution available when I start the computer is 1920x1080. I cannot select a different resolution - the box when I right-click desktop and click 'Screen Resolution' is grayed out and can't be interacted with.
This is doubly an issue because 1: Integrated graphics has no business being at 1920x1080 - Tetris would run sluggishly, and 2: My monitor only supports 1360x768 at the highest, so the screen is very ugly and hard to read.
Is this because I'm using an HDMI cable? Is it saying 'This is HDMI so you only get 1080p'?
