Question Integrated graphics on Ryzen 7 5700g ?

No, you won't have ANY "VRAM". You will have "UP TO" 8GB of "shared memory" that can be used by the integrated Vega graphics. Shared memory used by integrated graphics is not the same, nor does it have the same characteristics or capabilities, as actual VRAM on a graphics card.

But since it's kind of doubtful that the Vega graphics is capable enough to really NEED 8GB of video memory anyhow, it probably doesn't matter.

Why are you concerned about it being able to utilize 8GB of memory?

if you set 8GB dedicated for GPU, then you need to have more than 8GB RAM, if you dont have, setting will be ignored, once you get enough ram, it will get hardware reserved for only GPU (not shared), that means no app or windows can touch that reserved ram...so if you have 16GB ram, 8GB partitioned for GPU, 8GB for CPU

Memory set aside for integrated graphics is ALWAYS called "shared" memory. Yes, it is hardware reserved for it, but it is still CALLED "shared memory" if it is not in fact VRAM.

In computer architecture, shared graphics memory refers to a design where the graphics chip does not have its own dedicated memory, and instead shares the main system RAM with the CPU and other components.

if a game requires 4gb of vram, and i have dedicated 4gb in bios and in task mgr/performance/graphics it shows 4gb dedicated memory as well as shared memory, will the game identify this as OK for the game to run, thanks for the help!

If it needs 8GB and you have 8GB allocated to the graphics, then yes, it SHOULD run. That is not to say that the graphics adapter itself is going to be powerful enough to run the game or at the resolution you want. If you are playing relatively low demand games at 1080p or lower then probably but more than that will depend on settings.
