Integrated graphics or low-end GPU

Hey all.
I'm currently running on the Intel HD 4600 graphics. I however have an old MSI AMD 5670 GPU laying around, I bought it back in 2012 used it for about 2 years and just left it in the box after that, so the GPU is still in great condition. I'm getting horrible FPS-lag with my onboard graphics which is why I'm contemplating popping in my AMD gpu. Would it be worth popping in my GPU in my system? Or won't there be a big difference. Also, this GPU doesn't require an external connector to the PSU.

It will free up some of your memory if nothing else. Bench's show the 4600 to be slightly faster in some cases bit freeing up some memory may negate that difference. I'd give i a try
