Hello guys,
few days ago I accidently broke the 3.5 mm jack wich was plugged into the front audio panel.
Part of the pin remained inside and right afterwards PC has restarted.
After reboot, I had no sound, device manager was showing yellow triangle at sound card.
I was forced to reinstall sound card drivers and dissconnect HD audio(front case panel) because I couldnt remove the remains of the pin. Now system works with sound as it should.
My question is: What do you think may caused the restart of the system? Was there any power surge which may caused restart? I thought that static headphones couldnt do that. Could it damage soundcard? Thank you.
