Integrated to dedicated.

Hello guys, I need your help. I have AMD A6-7310 2.4Ghz CPU with integrated AMD R4 GPU, and I also have AMD R5 M330 dedicated GPU. So how do I switch to dedicated GPU for gaming?
And I also want to overclock my R5 but I'm not pretty sure at it.

Laptop using other graphics card and not the AMD one.

First you need to get it to detect and use the right card.

A. Uninstall, and then reinstall, the latest graphics card driver.
B. Make sure that your AMD graphics card is set as the default graphics card.

Here's the steps on how to set it to default.

1. Open the "Control Center".
2. Select "Manage 3D Settings" under 3D Settings.
3. Click on the "Program Settings" tab and select the program you want to choose a graphics card for from the drop down list.
4. Now select "preferred graphics processor" in the drop down list. (You can see what the automatic option is listed as global setting) If you want to use the dedicated graphics card, select High-performance AMD processor.

Once it is running on the right one, test the system again and see if the problem persists.


For ATI/AMD graphics cards the process varies.

You may need to open graphics then PowerPlay and set plugged in and/or battery to maximize performance.

You can also try going to graphics then 3D and move the slider to performance. Your computer may also have a switchable graphics tab where you can change the settings for individual programs.

I just bought laptop today, and updated all drivers and AMD catalyst control center as well, so maybe the place where those settings was has changed because I cant find it

Yes I do know it is a laptop. If you just bought the device it should be working fine, no problems. If it is already having problems you should contact the place of purchase.

That said, the instructions I gave are correct. If you right click on the desktop you should see the "Control Center" listed or "Graphics Properties". You can also do a search in Windows for it or locate it in "Control Panel".

Ok, it worked, before I played The Forest with integrated GPU at 720p lowest possible at 10-20 fps, now with R5 M330 it plays around 30 to 40. Thanks man! And ah.. How do I overclock it? I know how to with MSI Afterburner, but I don't know how much can I go.

That one I can't answer. I am not a fan of changing it and have never used it. However I am sure someone else on here can help with it.
