Intel® Core™ i5-4200M processor is this a quad core cpu

I am looking for a laptop with cpu quad core and finding that most of the details give cpu information but do not say whether they are dual or quad.
Intel® Core™ i5-4200M processor - is this a quad core cpu -
Does anyone have a list of all intel quad core cpu's please?

no it is a 2 core with hyperthreading so it is like a quad core

if you want all the quad core cpus go to intels website there are a lot of them

Intel Ark has a full list of all Intel CPUs, with piles of specs.

That's a dual core CPU, with Hyperthreading. For mobile i-series CPUs, anything with a 'Q' in the SKU is quad core; anything else is dual core. Atoms/Celerons/Pentiums are a bit more tricky.

It's a hyper-threaded dual core processor. Meaning it acts like a quad-core but has 2 physical cores.

I may be wrong with this part but generally all Intel i5, i7, and mobile i7 CPUs are quad core. There are others but those are the main ones.

Its a dual core processor because it does not have the Q if it would i5-4200QM than it would be quad core, as said before it has HT technology which is used to improve parallelization of computations(many tasks at once). For each physical core the OS addresses two virtual cores and share the workload between them if possible.But ofc 4 physical cores is always better than 2cores and 2 virtual
