Hi guys,

I've been using my Intel 1.8Ghz @ 2.1Ghz for around 2 years now.
Been wanting to push it more to 2.4Ghz +

Got any tips for good overclock fan ??? mine is 1.8A (northwood)

Hear from you guys soon

Thanks
Gore

Put some better cooling and increase voltage to about 1.6 at first, than, if things get unstable you can increase a bit more. All this time monitor temps, above 55-60 under load isn't good. I don't know what mobo/RAM you have but it helps having one with a 865PE/875P chipset and PC3200 RAM.
Thermalright make some good stuff, the SLK-947U and SP-94 are both very good (the SP-94 is better), pair them with a strong 92mm fan and you're set.
You can, if you want, run the processor at a crazy voltage and get like a 70% OC, but that won't last too long ;].

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

Of course as long as it's could.
by time the processor died, there're new better-faster processors already! he heh

I set my friend's system up with my used P4C800-E Deluxe and his 1.8A at 2.7GHz, using 1.675v core setting (which hops around from 1.62 to 1.72v, due to Asus's extremely poor voltage regulation on this "top end" board).

hi Crashman
not sure if my PC can do the same as your friend's
becos my MoBo is an old one, P4B266C...
Can this'll be a bottleneck?

If your board supports "533" bus processors, choosing the 133MHz base setting should get you to 2.4GHz. You'll probably need around 1.60-1.65v.
