On Tom's I re-read and old one from Michaels Computers, so I had to go see, and can not believe he is still selling technology not available. Or maybe Intel just does not have thier site updated with thier latest chips???
Does he have an inside connection to parts OEM's can not get...

Does not somebody have the authority to pull their business liscense?
Agreed, here is what the BBB stated on their website:

Mail sent to this company was either returned by the post office " moved; left no forward address, " " forward order has expired, " " unable to locate " , or the telephone numbers are disconnected. The Bureau cannot trace addresses or telephone numbers of companies or principals. General information is available upon request which may assist you.

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau. An unsatisfactory record is given when a pattern in the company's customer complaints causes us concern, when the company does not respond to complaints, or when it will not substantiate its advertising claims.

In this case, our complaint history for this company shows that although the business has responded to customer complaints brought to its attention by the Bureau, some remain unresolved because the customers were not always satisfied with the company's response.

A Better Business Bureau report is based on our file information and experience with an individual company over the past three years.

Wow, how could anyone fall for that guys BS? Next I'm sure we'll see Windows XP 128-bit edition on his 'Extreme' computers.

----------------------------------------------------
AMD Athlon XP 2100+ stock
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
1GB generic RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 360/335

I wonder if I ask for an upgrade for that system, if he will sell me the Prescott 4000MHz Extreeeme Edition...
I've got credit

Michael's Computers? Oh, that's just plain crap.

For starters, it says the P4 3.6 Extreme Edition features 2MB L2 cache, but "2512KB" total cache. Some idiot - not the same one who wrote the ads - definitely saw that there was 512KB L2 cache and 2MB L3 cache and added them both to 2512KB total cache. Or who knows, maybe it was the same idiot and he was actually very, very idiot.

Which is still obviously wrong, because 2MB = 2048KB, so 2MB + 512KB = 2560KB.

These guys have no idea what they're selling. I think he's just selling the plain old P4 560 at 3.6Ghz - or 3.6E if you like.

I wouldn't give it any more thought. If you look for more flaws, I guarantee you'll find them. That's just plain old BS.

Are not there laws against this?
He has been in business since 1996!
Complaints have been made, I assume Visa bill's have been disputed for total refunds of funds...

They are selling a 3.6E as a EE. Its not a EE as they do not come in that speed.

The picture of the EE box is not the processor he is trying to sell.

3.6E is a prescott core. 2MB L2 cache comes on Dothan not on Prescott. He states it has a .13 micron M0 (Galatin) core. Those do not come in 2MB L2 and they have 2MB L3

He states the bus ratio is 17 but... 17x200=3.4Ghz

At the top "Introducing the boxed Intel® Pentium® 4 processor now based on Intel’s industry leading 90nm process technology."

Yet down below "Manufacturing Technology: 0.13 micron"

Lastly, M0 core does not support SSE3
