Hello. I have a intel 3770k running with box cooler. On prime95 - 10 minutes test max temp is 83 degrees. Normal or not for box cooler at stock speeds?
Okay guys, above 75c is dangerous. That is normal for a bad setup. Seriously, get more ventilation and airflow, a better cooler, etc. Normal does not mean safe. It's normal that blowing your brains out will kill you. That does not mean it is recommended.

Yeah he said he has 83c while stressing with prime95, in my experience i didn't find any program that could load my 4670k until 83c and while hardcore usage my 4670k didn't reach 70c only 65 was max!
P.S. Haswell became more hot CPU than Ivy-Bridge because of more cheaper thermal paste instead of soldering!
